NanoKnow Commons Is Live
NanoKnow Commons officially went live on July 22, 2026 at the University/Government/Industry Micro/Nanotechnology Symposium (UGIM) at Stanford University.
On July 22, 2026, NanoKnow Commons officially went live at the University/Government/Industry Micro/Nanotechnology Symposium (UGIM) at Stanford University.
UGIM brought together participants representing more than 80 micro- and nanofabrication facilities from across the university, government, and industry communities. It was an especially meaningful place to launch a platform created to help this community preserve, find, and share nanofabrication knowledge.
NanoKnow Commons is an AI-enabled, community-built knowledge platform for nanofabrication. It brings together documents, procedures, training materials, useful links, and other resources so that valuable knowledge is easier to discover and less likely to be lost.
This first version of NanoKnow Commons is currently open to staff and administrators from nanofabrication facilities. Beginning with this community will allow us to develop the platform, establish contribution practices, and learn what is most useful before expanding access to the broader nanofabrication user community in future versions.
The launch is only the beginning. The Commons will become more useful as members of the community explore it, contribute resources, identify what is missing, and help shape what comes next.
